The Sisters of Providence

The Sisters of Providence were founded in France in 1766 by Blessed Jean-martin Moye. He taught them that the true spirit of religious life consists in simplicity, poverty, charity and complete abandonment to the providence of God.

Since the foundation the Sisters of Providence have always been enjoined to become absorbed by God’s loving design for the world  which is His creation. They have been trained to scrutinize the signs of the times and to be witnesses in every age of the providence of God our Common Father in the confusion of every day affairs.

The Sisters of Providence have communities in Belgium, Italy, England, Ecuador, Columbia, Peru and the Republic of Congo.
